Over the past ten years, I have worked with several local nonprofit organizations throughout the Boston area in development and direct service positions. In 2009, I committed to a career in fundraising, becoming the first full-time development staff member at ZUMIX (a music and arts-based youth development organization) as a Grant Writer. Over the next 3 ½ years my role expanded as the staff grew and I became the Director of Development. In January, 2013. I made the decision to transition into a larger organization. I am excited to join the staff of United South End Settlements in a position that http://healthsavy.com/product/xanax/ will allow me to continue on a path of learning while utilizing my skills and strengths in a mission that is very close to that of this blog – neighbors helping neighbors.
I am, by nature, a purveyor of information. Whether it is a tip off on a good pair of shoes, geography trivia, or the surprise ingredient in my award-winning apple pie, I will tell you. I have no secrets. Through this blog, I will apply that attitude to fundraising. I intend to share my successes and inspire my peers to do the same. I hope that you will share yours.
